The Runway returns for a new edition on September 26, 2026 at Le Havre-Octeville Airport. Following the success of the previous edition, this unique event once again invites running enthusiasts and those curious to experience something extraordinary: running on an airport runway, in the heart of a site usually reserved for air operations.
For one evening, the airport opens its facilities to offer a moment that is sporty, friendly and unifying, in an exceptional setting.
A race as close as possible to the planes
Held on the airport tarmac, the Runway offers a unique and safe setting for an extraordinary experience. For one evening, participants will have the opportunity to run or walk alongside aircraft, in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, between the illuminated runway and the world of aviation.
Open to all, the event is aimed at both seasoned athletes and participants who simply want to enjoy a friendly moment and discover the airport in a different way.
Several routes for all levels
Participants will be able to choose the format that suits them best:
- 10 km race
- 5 km – walk or run
- 3 km – walk or run
This diversity of routes allows everyone to experience it at their own pace, in an atmosphere that is both sporty and unifying.
For each race bib purchased, €2 will be donated to the Le Havre-based association Clown' Hop.
