Luggage: cabin baggage, hold baggage, and prohibited items
Each airline sets its own rules regarding baggage weight and dimensions. It is therefore advisable to check this information directly with your airline before your trip.
However, some rules are common to all companies and must be followed for a safe journey.
Cabin baggage
- Number and size : only one small piece of hand luggage (weight and dimensions according to the airline).
- Liquids : containers of 100 ml maximum, placed in a 1 litre resealable transparent bag.
- Quota exemptions :
- Prescription medications,
- Baby food in sufficient quantity for the trip,
- Duty-free purchases in a sealed bag (STEB) with proof of purchase.
Security check : your baggage will be inspected. Please present the liquids bag and, if requested, your electronic devices separately.
Items prohibited in the cabin
- Firearms or imitations,
- Bladed weapons
- Blunt objects,
- Hazardous substances or materials,

Checked baggage
Drop off your luggage at the check-in counter or at the "luggage drop-off" counter for passengers who have already checked in.
Items prohibited in checked baggage
cannot be transported : Dangerous substances and materials: explosives, firecrackers, fireworks, detonators, ammunition, flammable materials (gasoline, paints…), dangerous chemicals, gases, self-defense equipment projecting irritant or tear gases.
Practical tip : remove all old tags from your luggage to avoid any confusion during transit.
Important for baggage transferred to the hold from the cabin : remove your e-cigarettes, batteries and spare lithium batteries, which are prohibited in the hold.
Oversized baggage
For particularly heavy or bulky luggage , contact your airline for rates and transport arrangements.
