Le Havre Airport is not just a place of air traffic: it is also a space where nature has its place. Thanks to Aéro Biodiversité, the site's meadows, wetlands and groves are protected and regularly monitored, revealing an often overlooked ecological richness.
Preserved habitats
These natural areas are home to a wide diversity of animal and plant species. Since 2022, 436 species have been recorded, including 81 new ones in 2025, showing that biodiversity can thrive even near technical infrastructure.

Observation and monitoring
Each meadow and wetland area is meticulously monitored. The surveys allow for the adaptation of protection and management measures to promote coexistence between fauna, flora, and site activities.
Reconciling activity and nature
The goal is simple: to make Le Havre airport a site where infrastructure and biodiversity coexist in harmony. These concrete actions help preserve local species while enhancing the site's ecological role.
