For one day, the runway at Le Havre-Octeville airport was transformed into a sports field. For its second edition, the Runway Le Havre brought together nearly 1,000 participants for running and walking courses, while supporting Clown Hop, an association dedicated to helping hospitalized children.

A sporting experience in the heart of the airport

Local residents, runners and walkers: nearly 1,000 participants took part in this second edition of the Runway Le Havre.

On routes of 3, 5 and 10 km, they were able to discover the airport in a different way, moving directly on the tarmac, in a friendly atmosphere.

The event also provided an opportunity to open the airport's backstage areas to the general public and to showcase its facilities from a different perspective.

An event marked by solidarity

The Runway Le Havre also had a charitable dimension. Part of the cost of each race bib is donated to the Clown Hop association , which works with hospitalized children to bring them joy and comfort. This initiative thus combines exploring the airport, participating in sports, and supporting a worthy cause.

A collective mobilization

The success of this day also relies on the mobilization of the Runway and volunteers, who helped ensure the logistics, security and smooth running of the event.

For the teams at Le Havre-Octeville airport, this day was also an opportunity to see the region come together around a sporting and charitable event, and to showcase the airport from a different perspective.
