Confirmed in its mission to bring forth innovative drone solutions making Normandy a territory of excellence in this field, the CIDN is today an integral part of the NAE (Normandie AeroEspace) as a structured network.
NAE intends to make CIDN a national reference in the experimentation of intelligent systems based on drones and, with this in mind, is expanding the fields of activity that can integrate the network: OEM (original equipment manufacturer), OEM suppliers, software publishers, aeronautical data providers, data analysis, maintenance center, training, drone operators, certification companies, test centers, consulting and R&D/Innovation.
The drone hub at Le Havre-Octeville airport hosts some members of the CIDN in its premises.
Network objectives
The CIDN's objectives are to:
Axis 1
Supporting the emergence of structuring projects by fostering the development of industrial benchmarks at the national level

Axis 2
Addressing regulatory challenges by developing flight zones in Normandy
Axis 3
To promote the CIDN network nationally by strengthening regional drone activity through an increase in the number of members and staff

Drone activities in Normandy are structured around four key platforms:
- U-Space: Deploying a solution facilitating the integration of drones into airspace, currently bringing together ABOT, DELIVRONE, ESIGELEC, NAE, ROAV7 and Normandie Maritime
- AIRMED : Innovating for decarbonized mobility in the medical field, bringing together CEVAA, Rouen Normandy University Hospital, DELIVRONE and NAE
- EFFICIENCY : Making Normandy a resilient territory in terms of risk management, bringing together ATMO Normandie, CAP ATLAS, CEREMA, CESI, CORIA, NAE and ROAV7
- DRINEA : Structuring a human-machine collaboration ecosystem, bringing together CESI, Conscience Robotics, DAE System, NAE and WE Access Group.

CIDN services
- Trade Shows: Organization and preparation of our members' participation in targeted national and international trade shows. CIDN coordinates and implements the preparation for these events under a unified stand, in order to offer its members optimal access and participation conditions.
- Testing facilities: As part of its activities, CIDN provides testing facilities (flight zones) to support innovation and the development of the drone market in France.
- Technological and regulatory monitoring: CIDN offers its members technological and regulatory monitoring dedicated to the drone market.
- Regulatory support: Upon specific request, CIDN can support drone stakeholders in their regulatory procedures, providing an external perspective as well as feedback from its members.
- B2B Workshop: Organizing meetings (technology workshops, networking sessions, individual appointments, etc.) between our members and external stakeholders, whether suppliers or prospects.
- Project development support: CIDN supports you in structuring, developing and optimizing your projects to maximize their chances of funding.
Why Le Havre airport?
- CIDN has a drone flight testing site (1ha in area and 30m flight ceiling) made available to its members and drone industry stakeholders.
- Other flight zones are being developed in partnership with Le Havre Octeville Airport.
For whom?
- Companies in the drone sector (production, sensors, AI, logistics)
- Training or experimentation bodies
- Institutions/communities wishing to test innovative uses
- Security, surveillance, or logistics companies seeking to integrate drone solutions
